I have entered the 3rd Trimester!!! Whee~~~

My Baby Bump at Week 28

Hello Boobiesssss! Haha. Seriously this angle makes it look smaller than it actually is. And it's quite big already right. When I sit down and slouch it looks like a butt on my chest. I think it's 1kg on my chest....probably more. Haha. Better love and enjoy em preggie boobs while it lasts? Lol.

Week 28

Current Weight: 64kg

Started At: 51kg

Total Weight Gained: 13kg

No weight gain from the last week, GOOD JOB!! However, i dread stepping on the scale because i think i gained weight from all the chocolates this few days. This week i've been craving for A LOT of chocolates. I just cannot get enough of chocolates! What a terribly sinful week. I even have KFC's Double Down last night for dinner. Every time i attempt to eat healthy...my bf or my friends would be like, aiya just eat la, you also fat already, end of the pregnancy then care. ZzZzZz. Very bad people. Hahaha.

A few days ago I had like reeeeally bad cramps. It was so bad I couldn't move!!! Kinda scary. I was walking to the car when I felt the pain...quickly sat down on a bench for like 10min and luckily the pain went away. Was damn worried ok!!! Am such a paranoid preggie woman. Was kinda scared it'll come back while I was driving, but thankfully it didn't. This incident made me scared to go out alone. :( At night when I was lying in bed, my belly felt SUUUUPER HARD then it went soft for awhile and then it hardened  again? I have read about This before (thankfully) and I knew I was experiencing Braxton Hicks! Nothing to worry about, just my body preparing for the big day!

Did a scan today and my baby is 1.1kg! Which means...my weight gain minus baby's is...12kg. Hmm...slightly comforting? Haha. Oh and if I minus around 1kg from my boobs, that's 11kg. Not too bad eh.

Check out half his face!!! Look who's waving at you! I kinda don't really understand how the scan works though...what's that thing covering the other half of his face ah? Hahah.

Baby is growing normally and healthily! Can't ask for anything more. :) 

Going to Phuket this weekend w Dons!!! I am so excited! Been wanting to go for a holiday for pretty long. The bf is busy so my babymoon is with Dons haha. Super looking forward to it since the start of the month. Even did a beach theme manicure~

Baby Bump at Week 29

Just got back from a short getaway to Phuket, Thailand. Which was really boring for me because I'm preggers and there's really nothing much for me to do there. I won't really recommend going there though. I think if I want to go on a short beach holiday nearby id rather go to Bali.

Have nothing much to say about the place cus Don and I didn't do anything interesting. We spent most our time in bed. Lol.

 The room we stayed in at Beach Heights Resort (Kata). 

 The shower looks pretty cool though.

 The view at night was pretty!

 But in the day time it was quite meh haha.

 My fav thing about staying in hotels....BUFFET BREAKFAST!

There was a day we did nothing but walk around a mall aimlessly because the rain just won't stop. :( The rain is the biggest nightmare when you are on a "Beach Vacation". 

 Thank goodness we managed to go to KATA beach the last day before we left Phuket.

 The ride otw to the hotel was pretty interesting though! How often do you have to stop to let cows walk pass your car? Haha.

Probably the most boring overseas trip but still, at least I got some nice pictures to make my Instagram feed more interesting? Haha. 

So there are some people who asked if it's safe to travel since I'm already in the 3rd Trimester. I've asked my doctor and he said my pregnancy is all good with no complications so I can travel up to 35 weeks with no problem! :) I am kinda contemplating if I should plan one more baby moon next week! 

So I am now experiencing the terrible mood swings again. I have bawled my eyes out so much and rubbed them so hard all my lash extensions dropped off. I really don't have a reason why. I just feel so depressed. Over every little thing. Even thinking of what to eat stresses me out to a point I break down in tears. I know i shouldn't feel unhappy because it will affect baby boy. I hope this passes fast. I don't want to feel this way but I can't help it. Nothing seems to be able to cheer me up this few days. Well only my dogs? Yeah, that's bout it. :'( 

My face seems to be waaaay fatter this week! The double chin is scaring me! Never imagined i'd face that problem. 

Also, I keep having damn bad leg cramps every time i lie in bed. And sometimes in the afternoon, my calves and feet would turn red and swollen. My legs feel tired all the time. :( I try my very best to sleep with my legs elevated so when i wake up it won't be swollen but it is kinda uncomfy. I look forward to this week's pre-natal massage. Gonna ask her to spend a lot of time massaging my legs!

Oh and last night, under my breast near my rib cage area hurt sooooo bad! Hurts when i breathe. Read that my body is making more space for baby that's why. Ouchieee.

So a lot of people have been asking me how i'm gonna manage the shop since i used to do it all on my own before my pregnancy. Well, i've handled it to a very, very trustworthy team who will be doing most of the stuff from picking out the designs to shooting the products and handling the logistics. I will still be doing all the styling because it doesn't really take up much of my energy (pregnant me is always so tired!) and hopefully i'll be able to do the modeling real soon....when i get my body back which is probably in Nov (it'll be a miracle if i can start modeling in October). Really looking forward to that! I miss being the face of Ohsofickle. 

With a more professional team behind Ohsofickle, i'm sure everything would run smoothly and even better than when i manage it as managing it single handedly (actually, with the help of my step dad - which was still hectic and crazy). Also, with a more professional team handling it, i don't have to face so much stress which will be good for me and baby. With a stronger team behind the web store, i do hope it can grow bigger and better! 

I actually had thoughts of totally giving up the store as i faced a huge amount of stress in the past few months. Nobody really knows how much stress i was facing. It got so bad to a point i just wanted to shut it down. Because of sickness (and also pregnancy, means i can't travel to carry stocks on my own either), i couldn't travel since Dec and it was CRAY. Everything just spiral-ed down from there. As much as i wanted to pick out plenty of chio stuff to sell, i couldn't. I've had soooo many emails and comments from customers and oh how i wish i could fulfill all their requests to bring in stuff they liked. Now...those days are over and I don't have to struggle anymore with a new team behind OSF. I can still see the OSF brand around and wear OSF stuff! A brand i've build on my own. :) I've also fully recovered from my sickness, and have been given the green light to travel last month so yay to that. Have been through soooo much with OSF and i really can't bear to see all my effort go to waste if i don't put in my all so now, im really thankful for the new team and i hope ya'll will continue shopping at OSF! Good Morning! Having a healthy breakfast as i write my Week 30 Pregnancy Update! :)

Baby Bump at Week 30

Looking glowy because i just came back from 30 min of brisk walking. :)

Week 30

Current Weight: 65kg

Started At: 51kg

Total Weight Gained: 14kg

Oooh this week I craved something i hardly crave for. FRESH MILK. I have always loved milky stuff (soya milk, milk tea, ice cream...) however, I am not a huge fan of fresh milk itself. This week's interesting though! Everyday I just look forward to have a glass of ice cold fresh milk. Oh and I had a lot of lychees and strawberries this week but I don't think it's a craving la...I saw it on sale and bought a lot home so yeah haha.

Also had a lot of steamboat and Korean BBQ which means I had a lot of BEEEEEEF. Yums!

Belly is so huge now hiding the bump is almost impossible. I seem to have a bubble around me because no one bumps into me anymore! It's like people are ultra careful around me and always give way to me. That day at the supermarket, I was carrying a basket full of stuff and an old lady walked to me and started scolding me telling me how dangerous it is for me to be pregnant and doing grocery shopping. I had to get some fruits for the house and juice and I'm pretty sure I didn't overload because the basket wasn't even heavy to me but she insisted if was too heavy for a pregnant lady! Then she followed me to the cashier to pay, quickly pick up the plastic bags and asked to follow me to my car to help me load up. SHE DIDNT ALLOW ME TO CARRY ANYTHING! Wow her daughter/in law must be sooo spoilt with her around! I felt TERRIBLE leh!!! But she kept insisting and snatching the plastic bag from my hands. Super touched and grateful for her help and concern though :')

Oh yes I can't wait to book a waxing appointment soon! I used to go to get my waxing done at Waxing salons (is that what it's called? Haha) but I've been so lazy to go for appointments so I bought a waxing kit for home to clean myself up. However my belly is so huge now it's kinda difficult to do it on my own. Especially down there. Lol. So yes, it is one of the many things i faced during pregnancy that no one has told me about. 

Bending to tie my shoe lace or buckle my shoes can get pretty difficult too! Slippers are awesome! Never wore my slippers so much before.

Have a few maternity photoshoots planned in July & August already! Super looking forward to it :) if you have any interesting ideas for a maternity photo shoot you think id like, share it with me by dropping me a comment! :) 

Oh and if your wondering if I've thought of a name for my baby boy, yes I have! I think I've more or less decided on the name already :) I like alliterative names meaning the First Name and Last Name begins with the same letter, something like my name la haha. My baby should be taking his Daddy's surname which begins with E. Guess away! :)

I used to HATE tying my hair back because of my Widow's Peak (the v hair line). I hated it so much when I was younger I shaved it all the time so I could fei my hair back and look normal.

However as I grew older, a lot of people told me that it shouldn't be something to be embarassed about as it makes me special and according to the Chinese, it's a sign of Beauty. Lol! 

I don't exactly LOVE it now but I've accepted it! Everytime I tie my hair back and have a very noticeable Widow's Peak, I comfort myself and tell myself my face is a giant heart shape thanks to it. Hehe.

Even an oversized pullover cannot hide the bump anymore!

Yummiest cake ever from The Patissier! This is the Passion Fruit Meringue. Tried it at a friend's bday previously and fell in love! 

My sleep patterns are so weird nowadays. I wake up every 2-3 hours because it is so uncomfortable. Also, I wake up with leg cramps every day without fail! Been trying to change the position I sleep in but the leg cramps just won't leave me alone!! My feet hasn't really swelled as big as a lot of people told me it would. Neither has my fingers. But I think it'll happen because sometimes it does turn very red and I feel a bit of throbbing. I hope my feet doesn't permanently expand though!!! I got too many chio heels from pre pregnancy which I cannot give up :( 

I have stopped buying new clothes for my pregnancy now because I only have 2 more months to go! I think all my stretchy shorts and oversized tops can last me till I get back my bod! 

Week 31

Current Weight: 66kg

Started At: 51kg

Total Weight Gained: 15kg

I have hit the ideal weight to gain during an pregnancy already and I still have approx 7-9 weeks left. I think by the end of this pregnancy I'll be 20kg heavier! Which means after losing the baby weight, excess water weight, placenta (?) and etc, I'll have 10kg to work very hard on. 

With so many different ways to lose weight, I am super motivated and more confident of losing the excess weight gained! I have so many options and have already received sponsorship requests on weight loss programs. Super lucky and thankful to everyone! 

Have also booked a Malay lady to do post natal massage and belly binding! Heard it's super effective in helping me get my waist back.

I cried over something someone said to me recently. I just don't understand why some people can be so insensitive and tell me things like "hey your face/arms/thighs are much bigger than before!". Uh... like DUH?!?! You don't expect me to shrink in size while carrying a life in me right? 

Anyhowsss! Had a meeting about something very interesting this week and i am so looking forward to start filming! Hopefully it will happen and go as planned and you guys will enjoy it when it's out. :) 

Could've done a more interesting week 31 update however I am keeping interesting contents for the big thing hehe.

Current Weight: 66kg

Total Weight Gained: 15kg


No weight gained this week! Trying my very very very best to stay active and eat clean so I don't gain too much more since I have hit 15kg which is the ideal weight for full term pregnancy weight gain for my height.

I miss getting a good night's sleep. It is impossible to go a night without getting up to pee once every 2 hours! Im peeing for 2 now I guess. Then when I get back to bed, I'll have difficulty falling back to sleep. I can't really toss and turn anymore. Oh gosh I miss the feeling!!! It's kinda torturous not being able to sleep well :( my days are pretty much ruined because I'm always grumpy and tired due to the lack of sleep.

Now that my belly is bigger. I can't seem to finish my food nowadays cus I feel so bloated so easily. So I split my meals and have small portions every few hours so I can sufficient calories a day. 

 

Keep worrying i'm never gonna look good and feel as confident as before. I've been fine the past few weeks but this week I am just so easily depressed and upset?! :( I keep on comparing my pregnancy face and my pre-pregnancy face, which I know is stupid to do because no one looks better fat? My self esteem has been so so so low this week. I hate my nose I hate my nose I hate my nose!!! Pregnancy has made my nose SUPER bulbous. It's bigger than I can ever imagine. Seems to be getting bigger as my due date gets closer. Face is also getting fatter and fatter. :( Fats I removed on my face are back because I've gained a massive amount of weight so I kinda went through the recovery process for fat removal surgery previously for nothing. :(

Did you experience a bulbous nose during pregnancy too? How long did it take to go down? According to my friend's sister, hers slowly went down as she lost the baby weight.

Ok...now that Im done complaining. THE GOOD STUFF!

I got to see baby during a scan today and baby's head is down already. :) I knew it last week cus I could see my belly getting lower. My baby is now 2kg! Very healthy weight for a 32 week baby. Hmm 2kg is around Hiro's weight? Hehe. So happy he is growing well. Couldn't see his face during this week's scan though cus he kept hiding his face. I asked the doctor to arrange a 4D scan for me but he said no point if baby isn't facing the right way.... :( we'll see if baby's position is ok for a 4D scan during the next appointment which is in 2 weeks time!

My stretch marks at the side of my hips and at the bottom of my belly are out. Now I have stretch marks on my butt (VERY bad on my butt cheeks), upper thighs, hips, bottom of belly and boobs. So sad!! I've been applying the Clarins oil & Bio Oil (both highly recommended oil for prevention of stretch marks) twice a day everyday since the 2nd trimester but the stretch marks still appear?! Hope it doesn't worsen leh....Maybe I should apply every 3-4 hours now...be kiasu!

5 more weeks and my baby will be considered  "full term". Time is really flying and I can't believe I have 1 Mth + left! I really am looking forward to carrying baby boy in my arms. Being a first time mommy, I was really clueless on what to get so I did a lot of homework and finally after a month, I have already bought all the stuff needed to welcome him home!

If you are expecting your first baby, below is a list of the important stuff you will need! You should have all the stuff mentioned by Week 36 of your pregnancy! It'll be good to start shopping once you know your baby's gender (at approx Week 20) so you can take your time to read reviews and choose the best item for your baby.

When I was doing the calculation, I was shocked at the amount. Of course, not everyone would buy all the stuff I mentioned above but most new parents who can afford to would do so I guess? Did not expect it to be so much! Some of the items were sponsored/gifted so I actually spent lesser than the amount stated. It'll be good idea to have a baby shower before the arrival of your baby so you can ask your close friends/family to get you some necessities so you can save a lil! Hehe.

My classes start soon and I am really looking forward to learning how to handle a baby. Let me be really honest here and tell you guys I have never really carried a baby before nor changed a baby's diaper so I really need to learn! The classes would be so helpful in getting me prepared for the baby and once I'm all good, I don't think I'll feel so "scared" already. :)

Week 33

Current Weight: 66.5kg

I'm going to gain weight quite a bit by the end of this week because my appetite is CRAZY. I keep eating and sleeping! Last week I felt bloated and couldn't really eat as much but this week is kinda different though!! Feel like my stomach has more space and I'm always feeling hungry.

Baby is moving lower and my pelvic area hurts. Most days I feel so sore down there. It's almost similar to the soreness you get when you sit on a bicycle and cycle for long hours (do most ppl feel that soreness or is it just me). Also, he has also been kicking my rib cage area on my right so much and it is really painful. He usually kicks a lot when I'm in bed at night so I usually sleep on my left to ease the pain. But say when I'm out and he kicks the same area, i don't know what to do to help take the pain away :'( most of the time I just want to lie down because sitting up and walking is super tiring and uncomfortable. PREGNANCY IS HARD. I had a rather easy 1st & 2nd Trimester and time passed rather quickly but the 3rd Trimester ain't anything like it. All the things people complained about, I'm getting em all now. 

Cravings?

BREAD AND MILO! AND....COCA COLA. Been drinking a can of coke everyday, I've never been so addicted to coke...I wish I didn't have to stop at 1 can. Old people have been telling me it's bad but I really really crave for it everyday and when I asked my doc he said it's totally fine so... listen to my doc lah.

I think I have PUPPP??? My belly is itching LIKE CRAZY. It is so unbearable!!! The only thing which helps relief the itch is when I place a packet of frozen veg on my tummy. Everything else worsens it. My bio oil and Clarins seem to make it more itchy. I don't want to stop the oil because my stretchmarks keep getting worse! But the itch is driving me nuts!!! It is really the worse week  for me. 

Where can I find Grandpa Pine Tar Soap in SG?? Or anyone knows any remedy?

Oh and my stretchmarks HAVE WORSENED! Nothing is working!!! :'( WHHHHHYYYY!!!

Oh!!! This morning I was PISSED OFF!!! I've never felt this angry in quite awhile?! I HATE RUDE PEOPLE.

So I brought my dog Hiro out for his morning walk and when we were done and waiting at the lift lobby, I decided to carry him up. The lift door opened and out came a girl, together with her angmoh bf. The girl looked at hiro in the eye and her reaction was totally uncalled for?!

She went...

IN MA FACE.

SERIOUSLY RUDE WOMAN. Eww yourself. Keep it to yourself la?? I don't expect everyone to love dogs but doing that to my dog & I early in the morning was just so unpleasant.
It is not like my dog did anything like lick her or what? I was carrying him in my arms there's no way he can do anything to her? 

Reminds me how much love I have for my little hiro and oh how much would I love you Baby E!!!

I hope i never have to see her ever!!! No wait, i hope she doesnt even live in the same block man.

Pre-Term Labour Scare

It is now 9am and I am finally heading home from the hospital. Had such a scare...I thought I was going through pre-term labour and thought I was going to give birth lor. Just a few days ago I was asking a friend about how the whole process of going into labour was like for her. She told me she didn't feel pain from contractions but she went to the hospital when she saw blood and that was when she found out she was in labour.

Woke up to pee at 4am this morning and when I looked in my toilet bowl, there was blood?!?! It was bright red! My heart started beating super fast because I remembered what my friend said and I started panicking and googling. Was home alone and read that it isn't normal so I took a cab to the hospital. They monitored me for awhile and then I heard the nurse tell another nurse I was having contractions?!?? She kept asking me if I felt any pain but I didn't feel any pain at all. Then after awhile the contractions stopped and everything was ok again. Stayed for 5 hours and finally got discharged. I was praying so hard for the whole 5 hours because it is still too early for my baby to come out. Doctor came in to check on me and said it was just a false alarm and everything looks ok. I still don't know the reason for the bleeding though? Will ask him when I see him in exactly 1 week time. 

OH WHAT A SCARE.

Well at least I know how the whole process will be like and look like! I was in a room with 2 other ladies who were really in labour and I felt so excited for them when the nurse told them that they'll be shifted to another room. 

If I were to read about someone rushing to the ER thinking they are going into labour only to realize it's a false alarm, id think they are super paranoid and panic unnecessarily over the littlest things. I didn't think i would actually rush myself to the ER immediately? I'm usually the kind who would wait it out and see if it gets worse. Example if I have a mild fever, i would ignore it and not do anything about it until I get super high fever then ill go to the doc. However, after experiencing this scare, I realised how important this baby is to me already and all I really wanted was go rush to the hospital to make sure he is safe and sound or else I won't be able to think properly and sleep.

Please stay inside and continue baking little one! In 4 weeks time you will be full term and can come out anytime you want then! But for now, stay comfy in mummy's tummy ok? :)
