Swollen Nose?

"WHY IS MY NOSE SO HUGE DURING PREGNANCY?!"

I'm not sure if other pregnant women faced the same issue but I AM FACING IT RIGHT NOW!

However, i have problem, i am not sure if my rhinoplasty (it isn't an implant, it is ear cartilage + dermis graft) was a fail and it is the cause of it looking way bigger than my pre-surgery nose or if it's swollen from the pregnancy. I realized how much i love my pre-surgery nose now!!! Everyday, i look in the mirror and it can get depressing when i focus on how my nose looks like now - IT IS BULBOUS....FO REAL. If i thought my pre-surgery nose was bulbous...this current nose is....URGHHH. Some people think my plastic surgeon didn't do a perfect job and i should redo my nose at the end of the year after i give birth since i can still do a revision for free. If i really redo it after i give birth, i will remove the dermis graft done so i can get my original nose back (consulted a few doctors as well as the surgeon who operated on me and getting my old nose back should not be a big problem)! I haven't heard of anyone "regretting" surgery because most people look better than their pre-surgery self but i kinda do. Thank goodness, my eyes doesn't look that different from pre-surgery though. However, there are others who think it's the pregnancy swell. :( :( I don't want to go through the swelling and healing all over again so i reeeeally hope it's pregnant swell. Oh, we'll see at the end of the year! This isn't a HUGE problem anyway and it can be reversed so yup!

Did a research and this is what i found...

"Swelling.

It's not at all unusual for that to happen -- there is a LOT of swelling going on in your body during pregnancy, and that includes swelling in areas that you probably never even really considered to be "pregnancy related" before! Facial swelling is actually fairly common, and although it appears that your nose is "bigger" in some kind of permanent growth sense, the truth is that it will -- eventually -- return to it's normal, pre-pregnancy splendor! It may not, however, happen overnight; I couldn't tell you exactly when my nose returned to normal again, but I can tell you that it took some time.

Body changes during pregnancy are wacky, and a bit tricky because you can't always know really what will "go back to the way it was" and what won't. For example, the feet: many women experience only simple swelling, and their feet DO return to their pre-pregnancy size and shape after the baby is born, while other women will never wear the same size shoe again (and some women experience growth in the width of their feet in addition to the length).

I look at pictures of myself from when I was pregnant, and from when the babies (twins) were newborn, and I think "wow, that was some big nose I had going!" But, it's all normal now. Thank goodness! Yours will be too!"
