I love traveling out of Singapore to eat good food! KL's food was definitely nothing short of amazing. Was there for around 4 days and i really wanted to extend my trip because i felt i haven't got to try a lot of good food.

This is my 2nd trip out of Singapore with #thepartyinvaders and this time it's to Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia.

We took a 3-4 hour drive from Singapore to KL. Left Singapore at 3AM to avoid jams. Quite happy we didn't have to get stuck in any jams to and fro.

When we reached, we were all dead beat from the ride to KL. Can't imagine how tired the drivers that morning felt!

Most of the hotels/service apartments were fully booked but thank goodness for our friend's uncle for this service apartment! At the lobby, we felt a lil bit scared the rooms would look bad and it'll be scary but when we reached our rooms, we had a rather pleasant surprise! Considering the fact we paid so little, IT WAS ACTUALLY REALLY GOOD. The rooms were so clean - most important! We all got a 2 bed room suite which could fit 4-5 people a room.

When i told my other friends i was going to KL, they recommended a list of places and so, i had a bunch of places in mind to check out but unfortunately, 4 days was definitely not enough to cover half the places on the list. Plus, during this trip, we all partied SO HARD so waking up early in the morning sure wasn't possible. It's like some only went to bed at 8am?? CRAAAAY! Partying in ZOUK KL was so SO much fun! Maybe because we were in a foreign place and could do anything we wanted and not be remembered. LOL. Then after ZOUK, most of us would have an after-party in the room. Madness! That's the #thepartyinvaders for you.

This trip to KL, we didn't really walk much which also means no shopping. Well except at Pavilion where i got some stuff from Forever 21 & Zara. Heard the shopping at Mid Valley Mall and Sungei Wang Plaza is not bad but it's a pity i didn't manage to go there! I think i went there before VERY long ago but can't remember what it's like anymore.

Calories in Durian

When i'm sad and feeling depressed i turn to food.

And lately, my guilty pleasure is...

I LOVE DURIAN!!!

It is my favorite fruit HANDS DOWN. And i am surprised a lot of people hate it. But i love it like mad! I don't get why people think it's stinky...i think it smells awesome. Hahaha.

I can eat one whole durian at one seating. I AM CRAZY. But that would mean i'd have to work out doubly hard at the gym cus durians are very high in calories. :( "Durian is fruit. How can that make you fat?" Well, the sad truth is it will make you fat (i mean come on, you're not gonna only eat that one durian and be full the entire day).

Based on my research online...

1 whole fruit is around 885 Calories. :O

So i had 3/4 of a durian last night, which means i consumed about 600 calories FOR SUPPER. My average daily calorie intake is 1240 calories - so that's like half already. Well, which explains why i did 45 minutes of cardio (usually only do 30 min on normal days) this morning. Lol.

And here's the Nutrition Fact of the durian i found online.

I don't know what 1 cup means though :/ hahahaha.

I spent this weekend at Sentosa for The Color Run!

It was WAY more fun than i expected? I've never participated in such an event before and the number of enthusiastic runners surprised me.

It's not a serious marathon but instead, it's "The Happiest 5km on The Planet".

More than 16,000 people participated in the inaugural Southeast Asia Color Run!

Thanks to the New Balance team for my outfit and shoes! I AM SUPER IN LOVE WITH MY NEW SHOES!

With only two rules, the idea is easy to follow:

1. Wear white at the starting line

2. Finish plastered in color!

WATCH!!!

With Dons covered in colorful powder by the end of the run! It was surprising some readers could recognize me LIKE THAT and took pictures hahaha THANK YOU FOR THE LOOOOVE!

Pretty sure you can't wait for the next Color Run already huh??? :D

Last week before heading to BKK i had Korean BBQ at Superstar K.

The food was decent, not bad. Their spicy BBQ pork and chicken is pretty good! Still, nothing special, not the kind i'd remember for a long time. Tried a few Korean BBQ which are much better and cheaper.

The service at the restaurant was impeccable though! The staff helped us BBQ the food all the way and were all smiles. That's pretty rare in a Korean restaurant in SG to me. So far i was never THIS impressed with the service in most of the Korean restaurants in SG.

Also liked their appetizers, the steamed egg in a pot was yummy! And each table could get 2 bowls of steamed egg for Free. :)

I rate this place 6/10 stars.

Whenever i'm down, i love going to Bangkok. I feel so comfortable there. The food is simply AMAZING.

This trip i didn't check out any place different, went back to most of the restaurants i blogged about in THIS POST.

Eating in Bangkok is always an amazing experience.

Despite feeling guilty for indulging in so much good food for 3 days straight without any form of exercise, I AM HAPPY.

There's one place i did go to this time round which i didn't blog about...

It's located at Huai Khwang (hui-kuang). It's a night market where you can find food, beauty stuff, clothes...etc! There's also this Hello Kitty shop which you definitely won't miss cus it's SUPER PINK.

At Huai Khwang i went to this stall where they serve super yummy pork leg rice and noodles. Y'know the popular pork leg rice at Pratunam everyone talks about? Well that's only available before 1pm and so if you wake up late you won't get to have it. However the one at Huai Kwang opens till late!!! So which means, if you missed the one at Pratunam and you really want to eat pork leg rice, go to this stall! IT IS EQUALLY GOOD. Maybe even better because the portion is bigger. :)

The Basil Pork at Noi Seafood is A MUST HAVE I LOVEEEEEE IT!!!

August has been the month of Sadness for me. I have been putting so much effort to be happy and look on the bright side. It's been so so so hard. Most days i lie in bed with a million thoughts in my head and asking myself "how did it turn out like this?".

I can't seem to focus on work despite how hard i try to. I just keep wanting to go on a holiday, to take a break. Maybe i need to do what i watch on Eat Pray Love - take off on a round-the-world journey to "find myself".

On a side note, i am quite happy one of my favorite way to destress is to go for a jog. Such a healthy way to destress. This month i did quite a few 8km-10km jogs! However, i have also been eating A LOT....especially ice cream and CHOCOLATE. I've such a sweet tooth. Really. The unhealthy diet is taking its toll on my skin. All the alcohol ain't helping either. Thankfully, no weight gain at the moment because of my jogs. Yippee!! Looking at how much food i consume and not gaining weight is quite a miracle hehe. It's really weird how i LOVE TO EAT A LOT WHEN I'M SAD. On Normal Days, i already eat quite a lot as compared to most people but on Sad Days, I GO ABSOLUTELY CRAZY. It's like i eat and try to fill a void which is impossible to fill by eating but i still do it anyway.

"It doesn't hurt because if you keep hurting the same part of you again and again and again, the nerve endings all die. And when that happens, that part of you goes numb. That's why it doesn't hurt. Don't be proud of it."

Because i'm sad, iwrotethisforyou has been very relatable. Please let me know if you find the hard copy of the book (i can get it online but i prefer to get it from a local book store), i would be very happy!

Let me clear the million thoughts i have in my head before i finish up my work cus i can't seem to concentrate and focus with so much on my mind right now and i am thankful i have this space.

I am so different from most girls and sometimes it's just scary. I can give great advices but i can never follow my own advices cus i function so differently from most of my girl friends.

Ok so as you all know, i'm now....single. It is tough accepting the fact and i still refuse to accept the fact because i still love him but well, i am. It does suck and when i go through such a period, i tend to do a lot of self-reflections.

There are many reasons to break ups and the most common thing is Cheating so when i told people that i'm Single, most people assumed it was that but no, THANKFULLY not. It was more like i got my priorities wrong and neglected his feelings. Which i regret and i've never really felt this regretful in my life. I realized i've gone through about 3 break ups, most of it i have blogged about before and most of ya'll would know who i was with before if ya'll followed my blog since i first started. Makes me look terrible because i don't know any other blogger with that many break up stories? Lol. Then again, none of my break up was that bad since i'm friends with all my ex-boyfriends. Wouldn't say close friends but we say Hi Bye and i would like to believe despite it all we still do care for each other from afar. Most people tell me it's impossible to be friends with exes, but whoa.....i am? Which makes me wonder...WTH WHY?

Reason how most of my relationships ended is because i'm Egoistic & Prideful. Such a guys thing right? But sadly, the truth is that i am and i only realized how bad it is now. Looking back at my past failed relationships, i realized one thing i never did, i have never "fought for what i really wanted". I always put on an act. I always acted like i was happy, i was living a happier life. So when the guy i've just broken up with sees it, he would think this way "Oh, since she's happier without me. i shall not bother her and move on then". Then the guy i love moves on, then i start to feel sad and cry like F and start going crazy and saying how they didn't love me enough that's why. I would hate the girl, hate whoever who goes near him. It's stupid because i had all the time in the world to text him and give in when he wanted me but i didn't. It's like despite them begging for me to forgive them and all, my stupid pride didn't allow me to forgive them that easily. I expected them to start chasing and proving themselves. I expected things to turn out like in the movies - flowers at my doorstep....shit like that.

Most of the time when my friend goes through such a break up, i'd tell them "fight for it...don't give up!". But what the hell..... i have never fought for it, i always put on a show and appeared very "strong". Because i'm prideful as a girlfriend, i never wanted to look pathetic in front of him. I never wanted to go knocking on his door in tears, i never wanted to send him drunk texts telling him how much i loved him even when i did. This Pride KILLED IT ALL. Made me lose people i love. Which is why i say, i am so Different from everyone - most girls. I don't love my boyfriend less than they do, deep down i know i don't! But i think people assume i don't love him enough because of how "strong" and "okay" i appear after a break up. I find it so difficult to share my problems with my friends because my mind just works so differently from them. Also, my friends do give advices but i never listen, not because i think it's bad advices but i always want to do things my way so if anything fucks up, i have no one to blame but me. And you know what, i always do things the wrong way.

Because i realize this is killing all my relationships, i really want to make a change in myself. I don't want to put on this act anymore. I don't want to act tough in front of him, i don't want to act like i can get a better guy and i didn't need him. I want to fight for the person i really love. Even if i look pathetic and sad, at least for once i can say, I Fought For Someone.

I no longer want to be that f-king prideful bitch.
